About the Band

Oli was the first member to join the band in May 2011 & after only 2 rehearsals joined Kirsty on the main stage at her first ever gig at Shepley Spring Festival 2011. He brings an amazing new sound with his extreme multi-instrumentalist talents.

Philippe & Simon joined in June 2011 & again after only 2 rehearsals joined Oli & Kirsty on stage for their debut performance as a full band at Warwick Folk Festival, July 2011 for a ‘meet the artist’ session at the Bridge House Theatre. Also on the bill was Lucy Ward who sang along with ‘Singing Through the Hard Times’ & finished off the set with Kirsty singing ‘Maids When you’re young’

The band although living miles apart manage to meet monthly to rehearse & performed again at Bromyard Folk Festival, September 2011. It was after Bromyard that they decided to put together rehearsal tracks that after only 2months turned into the official release of their debut EP ‘Sweet Nightingale’

The Band include 4artists with varied instrumental skills that brings together traditional, Jazz & contemporary music as well as giving them the opportunity to introduce their own material to the mix.
