Oli Matthews
Saxes – Clarinet – Melodeon – Percussion
Oli Matthews is an independent freelance composer and multi-instrumentalist based in the East Midlands.
His professional studies involve gig and recording work on Saxophones, Clarinet, Melodeon and Percussion, graduating from York University with BA:Hons 2:1 in Communication and Performing Arts Specialising in Music.
Since then Oli has performed in many different European countries with a wide range of artists in the Jazz, Classical and Folk genres and his professional experience on a National level has included composition and performance work with Greenwich Dance Agency, East London Dance, Diversions Dance Company and Sakoba Dance Company.
In the International and Folk Festival settings, Oli currently performs with: Cupola, Cupola:Ward, Lucy Ward on Concert Stages and DanceCupola, Triptych and Mine’s a Pint Ceilidh Bands. Oli has also played with Hekety, Peeping Tom and Simon Care.
